HYDE (In script development)
A female focused psychological body horror updating the themes of Robert Louis Stevensons classic gothic masterpiece to connect with a new audience and explore the devastating effects of childhood trauma. Respected pediatrician DR. Diane Jekyll leaves the confines of her well-constructed life to begin a secret experiment to reignite her long buried senses, descending into a fantasy world where every sensory pleasure can be experienced, and finds the possibility of real acceptance,, with tattoo artist Enfiled. But a brush with a monster from her past, brings her violent childhood protector comes out roaring. Unable to remember her actions and frightened about what she might have done, Jekyll finds herself in a battle of control over her body and has to cut herself off from anything that may bring out Hyde, including Enfield. But when she discovers her childhood attacker is targeting another girl, so much like her younger self, she must again enlist Enfield, resurrect Hyde and enacts a bloody retribution. |
THE HUNT (in script development)
An evocative flicker of Australian folk horror, that moves from fairytale to nightmare, weaving through dreamlike visuals, and vibrant colours, to terrifying shifting realities, and drawing on an all-too-familiar Australian brutality. Pursued by a relentless shapeshifting Hunter, with the ability to turn fear into hate, Mercy finds herself alone and injured until she is rescued by Tamora and her niece Lavinia, living a secluded life in the woods, but as they heal her wounds using an old magic that evokes a forgotten past, Mercy begins to hope she may not be the last of her kind. As the women bond, finding a connection they feared lost forever, the Hunter tracks Mercy down and begins to spread seeds of distrust and fear amongst the townsfolk, turning them against the women. But, united by their shared lineage and bolstered by the ancient forces that course through their veins, the trio set a cunning trap for the Hunter, and his Pack, as they brace for the attack to come. |
